There's not much else to have a punt on until next week's ITF 1st round prices are released tomorrow. See you then!
A Kleybanova 2/5 to defeat A Bondar - The final of the ITF Antalya $10k will take place on Monday and Alisa is a good price here to win. The Russian is hugely motivated to zoom back up those WTA rankings and these ITF wins gather the points nicely. She will have no expectations on herself after everything she has gone through but I think she will have too much for Bondar

J Brady 9/4 to beat N Gibbs - Tough all USA battle in WTA Carlsbad and a big match for both with an opportunity of a WTA final. I think Brady could cause an upset
Y Nishioka 4/6 to defeat A Kudryatsev - The ATP Toyota Challenger final should be close. These 2 players played a few weeks ago with the Russian favourite but losing to the Japanese player. I expect Yoshihito to win again and take the title J Fett 10/11 to defeat L Kumkhum - The Croatian youngster is very motivated to move her ranking up and get cracking on the WTA tour. A big ITF win would do just that and set her up for 2016. Luksika is talented but hasn't pushed on as much as she should have since a big upset in the Australian open a few years ago. Both girls in form but I think Jana will just take it J Brady 2/5 to defeat - E Kostova - The American has been steadily improving this year and looks to move up even further in the WTA rankings by collecting ITF points. Elisa is talented but I think Jennifer will be stronger and more motivated
Y Sugita 5/6 to defeat T Ito - Big all Japanese clash in Toyota tomorrow morning and I think Sugita may be a little more consistent tomorrow E Gomez 2/5 to defeat B Lock - ITF Guatamala Futures is a risky tournament to punt on as literally anything can happen. I think Emilio needs points to move back up those ATP rankings and should be too good F Zeballos 12/5 to defeat J Gomez - Another ITF Guatamala pick here. Not much between these players and think there is value with the Bolivian. Low stakes though!! C Norrie 5/6 to defeat D Nevelo - Cameron is in form on ITF Futures in USA and very motivated to start moving up those ATP rankings. He defeated Kozlov in the last round and can defeat the American here J Fett 10/11 to defeat M Eguchi - Jana is a big talent from Croatia and has been playing well in 2015 and moving up those WTA rankings. Misa can be tough and plays a lot on the Asian ITF so conditions will suit. I think Fett will be too strong. Remember low stakes only! Can you believe its nearly the end of the ATP Tour Finals already and the ATP Tour for 2015!?
Well we have one last match to sit and watch first........ and it could be a cracker. Roger Federer plays Novak Djokovic in the final of the ATP Finals. The pair have met 43 times before, most recently this week in the round stages of the ATP Finals. where the Swiss Master defeated the Serbian King in what many spectators called an 'upset' This final will be there 8th of 2015 and Novak currently leads 4-3 with 2 huge wins in the Wimbledon and US Open finals. Federer has won these ATP finals 6 times before, while Novak has won 4 times including the each of the last 3 years. This match couldn't get any bigger. So how will the match pan out? Roger will have to keep his 1st serve % up high and try and use that to dominate points early, while Novak will look to get into rallies and dictate the match from the back of the court keeping the ball deep and taking the shot making power of Federer at bay. These two players know each other's games very well indeed so will have their game plans to combat each other. As already mentioned Novak Djokovic is going for 4 ATP Tour finals in a row, a new record..... while Roger Federer is hoping to regain his ATP number 2 ranking from Andy Murray before year end so motivation is not lacking for either player. Neutrals can just sit back and enjoy the tennis between 2 of the best players ever to grace a tennis court..... Federer and Djokovic fans...... hold on tight and enjoy the ride! I think it may go 3 sets and Novak just to sneak it...... What are your thoughts? Leave a comment T Babos 5/4 to defeat M Doi - Very even match up, both players need to work on their consistency in their careers but this week they have done just that. I think Timea if her serve is working as well as it has been all week should take the WTA Taipei title, but any slip ups and Misaki will be their to take the win.
Y Nishioka 4/9 to defeat H Moriya - Yoshihito is a big talent from Japan and should be too good for Hiroki who has some good wins but also tanks often. Motivation will be higher for the younger of the 2 Japanese players in Toyota. Go Soeda 11/8 to defeat Taro Daniel - Another tough match to call. You can never discount Go in these Asian Challengers and I think he is capable of causing an upset over Taro. M Baynes 11/10 to defeat D Kelly - Big Futures final for both players but I expect Maverick to pull through this match and win the title even if he is the underdog I Wallace 4/7 to defeat Escorhuela - Pity Isabelle has changed nationalities from British to Australian. The 19 year old is a good talent and should take this Castellon title. N Hibino 4/7 to beat S Zhang - This a very tough to call. Shaui is much better than her ranking suggests and is finally finding form again. Nao has had a superb year and this ITF $100k title would be great for her confidence. This could go either way but as it is a Japanese tournament that may just help Hibino's motivation E Laine 1/1 to defeat Tarasova - Emma had a WC into the draw and has played well all week. Although hardly plays singles any more the Finn is capable and once reached the WTA top 50 many moons ago. It all depends how motivated she is as to if she will win, she has concentrated on doubles recently. Alena Tarasova is an up and coming Russian about to break the WTA top 300, she may well want the win more and is the favourite coming into the match. I think a very small punt Laine is good value
J Grabher 1/1 to defeat C Dentoni - Anything could happen in ITF Morocco - Anything! You have been warned. Dentoni is the more experienced player and has been a lot higher ranked in her career but I have picked Austrian Grabher here to take the victory. Julia is a 19 year old and on the up recently and has many wins at this level under her belt. The amount of bagels in Casablanca this week is beyond belief so like I say, only very small punts advised N Totka 11/10 to defeat L Huber - Both 20 year olds have been in good form in ITF Stellenbosch and although Huber has a 3 set win over Totka in recent weeks on these courts I feel Naomi is moving up the WTA rankings quicker and with more promise and looks a good price. Don't forget everyone these are ITF tennis matches and only small punts is advised. T Babos 11/10 to defeat K Flipkens - Timea is a big talent but very rarely shows it on the singles court. However when she goes deep you know she is playing well. She has a decent 1st serve and is equally comfortable the net. Kirsten has struggled to be as consistent as she was a few years ago and although she will fight I think the Hungarian is a decent price.
I think Timea's odds may shorten...... Only punt what you can afford! Here's Friday's Top Tennis Tips have a look and send a comment to let us know your thoughts
Andy Murray 4/7 to defeat Stan Wawrinka - Although Andy played a poor match with Rafa Nadal in the last round I think he was conserving energy and will be more motivated against Wawrinka and reach those semi-finals. Roger Federer can still steal Andy's end of year ATP number 2 spot and that will mean a lot to Andy so he will want the win even with Davis Cup coming up Guido Pella 4/7 to defeat Facundo Bagnis - Guido the better player and will want to do well this week and move back up those ATP rankings. S Zhang 1/1 to defeat Q Wang - Big points available in ITF $100k Tokyo this week and Shuai Zhang has slipped way down those WTA rankings in 2015 and needs to start rebuilding. She is a quality player at best and should beable to defeat Qiang Wang in this all Chinese battle. Enjoy, remember low stakes and gamble responsibly. |
